A documentary about food storage and energy availability
“Life in the Alps” is a short film shot and edited by Giovanni Malausa for the course of Design & Research Methods (prof. Stefana Broadbent), part of the Master’s Degree in Product Service System Design (Politecnico di Milano).
This documentary is the output of an ethnographic research on food storage and energy availability, comparing living in a remote location in the Alps with life in the countryside, a few steps from a supermarket. An interview with Alex Masolin, PhD, offers expert considerations and knowledge about the various facets of these conditions.
Special thanks to my grandma (Carla Pauletto), Luciano Roma and Alex Masolin for their invaluable contribution to this research.
